🍴Ingredients

  • 400-500 g fresh tagliatelle

  • 300-400 g sirloin steak (Or any other beef cut)

  • 8-10 mushrooms

  • 1/2 yellow onion

  • 1 red bell pepper

  • 1 yellow bell pepper

  • 1 clove of garlic

  • 1 1/4 cups crème fraîche (approximately 300 ml)

  • 3/4 cup whipping cream (approximately 180 ml)

  • 1 tablespoon concentrated veal or beef stock

  • 1 teaspoon red wine vinegar

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons fresh thyme, chopped

  • Salt

  • Pepper

  • Extra topping: Parmesan

🍴How to

  1. Roughly slice the steak. Season with salt and pepper and set aside.

  2. Cut the mushrooms into wedges. Peel, halve, and slice the onion. Slice the bell peppers after removing the seeds. Peel and finely chop the garlic.

  3. Fry the mushrooms in a pan. Once the mushrooms have released some liquid and it has evaporated, add butter. Sauté for a few minutes.

  4. Add the onion and bell pepper and sauté until everything is slightly softened. Add garlic, crème fraîche, cream, stock, cognac, and red wine vinegar. Stir and let it simmer for a few minutes.

  5. Stir in the thyme and season the sauce with salt and pepper.

  6. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions.

  7. Heat a pan. Add the sliced steak. Fry on high heat quickly, for a maximum of a minute. Turn to ensure the meat is evenly browned.

  8. Mix the steak into the sauce along with the cooked pasta.

  9. Serve on plates, generously topped with grated Parmesan and fresh basil. Serve immediately!
